Isabelle Demenge, the Author
Isabelle Demenge is a native of Paris who moved to New York City to start a family. She has lived many lives: mother of three boys, banking & finance lawyer in a major international firm, world traveler, amateur photographer and writer. A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and the University of Paris II, she spent a decade in Hong Kong focusing on family trips, photography, and travel writing. She now lives between New York and Hong Kong.
Facing the difficulties of traveling with small children in Cambodia, she decided to write for her kids the book that she was looking for. Having passed her kids’ crash-test, she decided to develop a series of children’s travel books.
Emilie Sarnel, the Illustrator
French designer Emilie Sarnel has worked internationally, in Shanghai, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Professionally trained in graphic design, Emilie graduated from French art school ENSAD, "École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs", in Paris. After graduation, Emilie went to Shanghai to provide art direction for the creative advertising agency Wieden+Kennedy, that later relocated Emilie to Tokyo in 2009 as graphic designer. In 2011, Emilie left Tokyo for Hong Kong. She started her own creative design studio in May 2013. Emilie relocated to Paris in 2016 where she continues to work for her international clients.
