Leap & Hop Myanmar offers a new way of traveling as a family.  The children are engaged with games and activities as they share the adults' discovery of Burmese culture. 

The book is divided into two parts. The first half contains an introduction to Myanmar - its history, geography, religion, architecture, currency, and food, among others.  The second half focuses on Myanmar’s most iconic sites in Yangon, Bagan, Mandalay, Inle Lake and others. 

Children will play I-Spy in Sulamani Temple in Bagan, go on a scavenger hunt in the Shwedagon Pagoda

in Yangon, take a quiz walk in Yangon’s heritage neighbourhood, learn how to draw a reclining Buddha, among other fun activities.

A great travel companion for kids

A great introduction to Myanmar with lots of activities, such as quizzes and word searches, perfect for those idle moments on the road. Scavenger hunts and "I spy" make touring temples more interesting for kids - who often get bored very quickly. Especially in Bagan it was great to have the kids read the book so that the adults could have a moment of peace to take in the magnificent views on top of the temples - without having to constantly worry about them falling off the sides. As in the other Leap & Hop guides, there is a lot of information on local customs, food and religion, and a short introduction to history. Once again, a beautiful and useful book, recommended to anyone traveling to Myanmar with kid who can read.
